1 Simple but Important Question

Hello friends! It is Monday today. The week has already started and has brought with it a heap of work to be accomplished.

The clouds have suddenly drifted away to some distant land and the sun shines hard on us. It is sweltering hot outside.

Deadlines are looming over my head and I cannot seem to think of anything else these days. The necessities of PhD life!

Despite all these, I woke up early today, feeling energised. I thought I will do some work today. I went through my usual morning routine. I sat down with a cup of green tea and a good self-help book. Meanwhile, some soft instrumental music played on. I felt calm feeling the softer morning sun and listening to the birds’ calls. These little things motivated me today.

I felt at peace and yet strengthened from within. I knew I have to work and I will.

Our everyday is an adventure. Our everyday work requires patience and labour. But we do not fall back. We wake up everyday and buckle up for whatever comes our way, don’t we?

There are some things that must motivate us to do this. Little things. Things that may not matter to everyone else. Things that everyone may not notice. But these tiny, little things are what pushes us to be our better selves everyday.

What are those little thing(s) which motivate you to live everyday?

I asked this simple but important question to my fellow Soul-Searchers on my social media accounts. I have received some answers from my dear readers. I will share them with you all soon this week.

My fellow Soul-Searchers and fellow bloggers whom I could not reach through my social media accounts, would you care to share your answers with us? Comment below πŸ™‚

Have a wonderful week ahead!

Happy Soul-Searching!

  1. Most days I don’t really have the motivation to get out of bed but there are humans and a cat to take care of. Also, I know that if I don’t clean the house things will get out of hand. So I start the day by making my bed and putting the dishes away.

    1. Thank you for stopping by my blog and giving your valuable input, Hilary. You are right, there are days when we go with zero motivation. But making the bed is also my first work to do in the morning πŸ™‚

      1. I always used to think that making my bed was a silly thing to do, and why bother doing it? But now it’s one of the things I make sure I do every morning.
